Yesterday was quiet and productive, although I guess I drank too much caffeine throughout the day. I have had a thirst for green tea and drank both hot and cold green tea all day long. So by 10:30 lat night I could not fall asleep.

I tossed and turned most of the night and don’t feel like I got any sleep at all. Yet I must get up and dress, take care of my dog, and head to the office.

It feels like a Blue Monday. I hope it is a quiet day without too much drama so I can just keep my head tucked and get through the day.

This last month or so I’ve neglected my blog and I already feel bad about that. I just haven’t had anything good to say and no one wants to read a lot of whining and boo hoos. So I took a little break so I could get my heard together.

Then this morning I log in to get a fresh start and I find over 100 spam comments in there. This is crazy! I’m just a regular person writing a few thoughts here and there. Why do spammers think my blog should be a target for their evil ways?

If you are a spammer please find someone else to bother. I will delete and report all comments from spammers. Take your garbage somewhere else.

Years ago I would have a poptart with my coffee in the morning. They were easy to keep on hand, they were cheap and they tasted OK.

I found that the strawberry flavor was a hit with my dogs, too. I don’t know what it is about strawberries, but when the dogs smell my poptart coming out of the toaster, they get all excited and start dancing around the kitchen, knowing they are going to get a little treat.

Of course I share my food with my dogs! They deserve a small treat every day – just like me!

To all the people who labor and help make our country great, today is a tribute to you!

I love the way Labor Day gives everyone a day off from work. It’s a chance to sleep late or take advantage of a three day weekend to get away from it all.

Some of the jobs I’ve had would recognize Labor Day and be closed for the day, but not pay the workers for the day. That seems to be a missing link to the whole idea. If you are honoring the people who work hard, you should have to pay them, too.
